Studies have consistently shown that iron doors offer enhanced strength and durability compared to other door materials. The use of high-quality iron or steel in their construction provides a formidable barrier against forced entry and physical attacks. On request a glass panel can be made from Tempered glass which is defined as toughened glass that has been treated by heat or chemicals to increase its strength. Tempered glass is about four times stronger than “ordinary,” or annealed, glass.
To measure the size of your door correctly, please follow these guidelines. Our sizes are measured from the outside of the jamb to the outside of the jamb. For example, a door listed as 72″ x 96″ on our website means that 72″ is the width from the outside to the outside of the jamb (not the actual width size of the door), and 96″ is the height from the outside of the jamb to the bottom of our built-in steel threshold (not the actual height of the door).
To measure the width of your door, start by measuring from the outside edge of the door frame on the left side to the outside edge of the door frame on the right side. Make sure to include any trim or casing in your measurement. This will give you the width from the outside of the jamb.
For the height, measure from the top of the door frame to the bottom of the door frame. Again, include any trim or casing in your measurement. This will give you the height from the outside of the jamb to the bottom of our built-in steel threshold.
Please note that the measurements provided on our website are based on the outside dimensions of the jamb and the height to the bottom of the threshold.
For new construction:
Measure your door’s width and height then add 20 mm to the width and add 20mm to the height, this will give you the correct rough openings. The reason for the extra space is to allow room for the door frame and for space to adjust the door.
Installation and fitting package starts from £480 plus VAT . Any additional charges will vary depending on your location in UK and the travel distance from our Harlow showroom.
